Who are we and what do we do?
ESC “accidentally formed itself” in 2021, when we realized that several of us were writing to A2 about the same thing – they vast increase in Estimated Costs for FY21-22. We formed a team of ~10 residents, representing all 4 phases of Elmsbrook, and including different kinds of owners/residents.
We finally got a video call – rather than push-away emails – in February 2022. We have continued to push A2 to correct errors and refund money owed due to Service Charge Issues. In 2023-4, the big new issue has become Buildings Insurance increases for Shared Owners and Tenants.
The Future?
As of 2024, we have our MP’s team involved. We have support from local A2 staff, and the relatively new A2 CEO, and we have engagement from A2 directors again – for the first time in >5 years.We now wait to see if both A2 will work faithfully, honestly, openly and transparently with us to resolve matters, or if further interaction with the Housing Ombudsman is required.
