Aim
The aim of the Grow Beds is to encourage the Elmsbrook community to work together to achieve a healthier lifestyle by growing their own food. These ground rules have been developed with this aim in mind.
Our Promise
We (A2Dominion) promise that we will:
- Administer the Grow Beds in consultation with the Elmsbrook Gardening Group (EGG).
- Inspect the communal areas around the beds weekly
- Inspect individual beds monthly
- Offer support and advice to any residents not maintaining their Grow Bed to a satisfactory standard
- Give a minimum of 14 days’ notice that we are reclaiming any Grow Beds where residents continue not to maintain them to a satisfactory standard or have not renewed the grow beds when required.
- Supply services such as water and carry out repairs as appropriate.
- Meet with garden representatives at least twice a year to discuss any current issues and a management plan for the future
- Give you at least one month’s notice of any changes we intend to make in respect of how the beds will be managed in future.
You Promise To:

- Keep your bed, tidy, well cultivated and free of weeds
- Keep the Grow Bed and area around it safe and clean
- Keep any potentially dangerous items out of the reach of children at all times.
- Report any hazards to A2Dominion as soon as possible (Customer Services 08004320077)
- Use the beds in line with the ‘Elmsbrook Green Charter’
- Maximize opportunities for recycling, composting and water conservation
- Cultivate your Grow Bed in an environmentally friendly way, as organically as possible with minimum use of pesticides
- Respect other beds and not to remove produce from another bed without the holder’s permission.
- Support Elmsbrook Gardening Group (EGG) in working with the community to encourage a healthier lifestyle
- Provide feedback to A2Dominion when requested about the Grow Beds and the management of them
- Give us as much notice as possible (but at least 1 month), if you wish to give up your Grow Bed
- Surrender your Grow Bed if you no longer require it. You must not pass it on to anyone else. We will allocate it to the next suitable person on the waiting list.
- Try to resolve any disputes or issues amicably with other users.
- Accept that the company’s decision is final if disputes need to be referred to A2Dominion as a last resort.
- Tell us if your circumstances change (e.g. you change your phone number or address or you are allocated an allotment elsewhere)
- Not to:
- Obstruct or encroach onto any pathway surrounding the Grow Beds
- Store any hazardous materials on the site.
- Light fires or burn rubbish at all times.
- Use your Grow Bed for trade or business of any kind
- Camp or stay overnight on your Grow Bed
- Keep animals on your plot
- Cause an annoyance or nuisance to neighbours
