Who are we and what do we do?
Elmsbrook has a scattering of musicians of all kinds: the aims of EMU are threefold: (1) to bring any and all musicians and music fans on Elmsbrook together; (2) to hold a variety of live music events on Elmsbrook, for the enjoyment of all; (3) to raise a bit of money here and there for worthwhile causes – currently, these are: aid to Ukraine, and funds for ECO.
What events do we do, and have we done?
We aim to do around 5-6 live music events per year. The most recent past events have been:
15 March 2024 – Live Music Night, raising funds for Ukraine and ECO: acoustic sets and band.
17 December 2023 – Live ‘Acoustic Circle’ (following the Carols walk around)
28 October 2023 – Halloween Party: full set of live Halloween-themed songs from the ‘house band’ !
24 September 2023 – Bicester’s ‘Concert for Ukraine’ – here on Elmsbrook: bands, a female barbershop quartet, and several Ukrainian guests singers.
30 June 2023 – Open Mic Night – poetry, comedy, karaoke, acoustic sets, full band, even kids telling jokes!
17 February 2023 – Live Music Night, raising funds for Ukraine and ECO: acoustic sets and band.
